At Iteko Special School, we have a tradition of combining both high expectations for all our pupils and a curriculum that is forward-looking and appropriate to the needs of the 21st Century. 

Iteko is a special school where pupils progress in a familiar setting and benefit from seamless transitions across the key stages in the Primary and Secondary Schools.  There is an authentic feeling of being one family where strong friendships are formed and extend beyond year groups.

A School Experience Like No Other

All sections of Iteko Special School (Primary and Secondary) enjoy being a member of our “one school” community. In several areas, such as art, bead-work, art & craft, and needlework, primary school students use the same facilities as secondary school students. Small class numbers and good teaching ensure speedy progress at Iteko Special School while engaging in extracurricular activities encourage boys and girls to develop into well-rounded persons.

Our History

Iteko Special School is a school of special people under section 21 entity that started on the 2nd of September 1986. The school is created to provide education to learners with special needs. Presently, about 506 learners are enrolled at the school.

The nature of the intellectual disability range from mild, moderate, and severe. The 35 educators and principals are employed to constitute a management team responsible for the school’s day-to-day running.
